Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Make sure the library you moved contains all your media, then drag the original file from the Movies folder on your Mac to the Trash. To rule out a corrupt preference, try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears.Ive tried moving the library and the footage to my ssd internal disk, or even to another ssd disk.

after I put in the edits from my team, the movie is repeatedly saying 'Failed to export' and when I click details it just says 'Failed to export' again. Click Files and Folders in the sidebar, then select "Removable Volumes" under iMovie. The iMovie made the export in 264, but still was much much much more faster.

If the information in Sharing & Permissions isn’t visible, click the triangle, then make sure the “Ignore ownership on this volume” checkbox is selected.Sometime I will upgrade to Catalina as my 2 most used applications are both 64bit. Probably that re-installed the older library (which iTunes upgrade broke).
